I-Hate-Seychelles

When I first heard that a group like this existed I just had to see it to believe it. I could not believe the level and amount of ignorance and stupidity could possibly exist. The reasons I have seen for the hate are beyond idiotic and hypocritical. Hating on a character that barely even makes an appearance or because she simply ‘gets in the way of yaoi’ have to be the most dumbest things I ever heard to be a reason to form a hate group.

(Is a ‘whore’ cuz she’s paired with everyone): You mean to tell me that one of the reason you targeted her was because she appeared in some game? An otome game at that? Do you not understand what an otome game is?

  An otome game (乙女ゲーム, otome gēmu, literally "maiden game"), sometimes contracted to otoge, is a story-based video game that is targeted towards women. Generally one of the goals, besides the main plot goal, is to develop a romantic relationship between the female player character and one of several male characters.- Wikipedia

 Of course she will be the attention of every other character! Second of all she represents the player. That’s literally the point of the whole game. How can she be a ‘whore’? Just because PEOPLE ship her with others? Not the actual creator himself? By that logic England, America, and Francis should be considered whores as well. Especially England considering he’s the most shipped with everyone. Even an oc of Philippines is shipped with every character and she’s not even canon!

(She’s a mary sue!):  

A Mary Sue is an idealized and seemingly perfect fictional character. Often, this character is recognized as an author insert or wish fulfillment.-Wikipedia

Seychelles has only made two appearances in Hetalia: World Series and in Hetalia: The Beautiful World and appeared very little in the manga. So far the only things we know about her are what can be seen on her profile. “Seychelles is described as a country girl with a big heart who can sometimes be sloppy. She can't cook on her own and laments over her high cost of living. Her language is a unique type of French (Seychellois Creole), mixing both French and English.” She is far from perfect as she is sloppy. Mary Sues are people who are perfect no matter what they do. Being perfect is the key component that makes up a Mary Sues. Seychelles is sloppy and has other imperfections that makes her unable to qualify as one. And how are we supposed to determine her personality when she has only made so little appearances?

(White Washing): So? There are many other characters that have the wrong skin colour. And wasn't that resolved in Season 5? Why is that still an issue? And who cares if she's light skinned?

(Why are you even here then?):

Why am I here? Because I just so happened to come across this ludicrous group. Surely you would have known this would happen? Making a hate group for one of the most popular character when most of the fandom is pro Seychelles? And who makes a hate group in the first place? ‘It’s for people who hate her!’ And? I hate spiders. Should I make a group dedicated to hating spiders? It’s something I don’t like and bothers me. Why would I want to capitalise on that? The reason people have groups for favourite characters because it’s something they enjoy and feel good about. Why would you want something that makes you feel uncomfortable? That makes zero sense whatsoever. And the reasoning for this group is bullshit. This community in general is just a bunch of shitty people hating on something someone worked hard on with no valid reason other than the fact she’s shipped with other people. And can guarantee that most of your oc’s are most likely Mary Sues that you ship with the characters. This has to be the saddest thing I have ever heard of. A hate group dedicated to a fictional character. Fucking pathetic. So you mean to tell me you woke up one morning and said to yourself, “You know what would be great? If I make a shitty group dedicated to to shitty people.”

 When I first saw this I asked myself what kind of people are stupid enough to dedicate their life to something like this? So I decided to check out some of the members such as HondaMiHOE, MapleMochi, and TheCityMaker. I started with Mochi and saw that they made a rant. I decided to read it to see if there was any actual valid reason for this group’s existence. Nope. Not at all. First let’s talk about the writing style. Absolutely atrocious. I can clearly and visually see the mindset of the writer. The worst garbage I have ever read! The first words are a direct insult to Hetalia fans in general. She continues to bash fans but when you call her out she complains that YOU should respect HER opinions when she just bashed you for having an opinion.

 Now let’s get onto her reasons of hate:

Her personality: What personality? We know so little of her? And from what I seen she’s a kind hearted girl which I can’t say the same for you.

Mary Sue: Absolutely not. She wouldn’t even qualify in the least as she is not perfect and doesn’t have everyone swooning at her.

These appear the only main factors of the hate. They then continue to bash the fandom for wanting to defend THEIR opinion. I then happen to come across her profile. I also came across more rants of her just complaining in general.

“When I should’ve thought positive when everyone else ignores me in the internet, like I know it will happen no matter what or some fuckheads like that. It’s just tiring!”

Well no wonder your personality seems tiring. Having to constantly listen to you whine about how ‘unfair’ your life is must be pretty tiring to people.

“Oh look deep shit, I don’t care what the fuck is happening to you and I already tried my best to make you happy and motivated. But if you don’t fucking at least say “Thank you” or fucking reply something to it.”

I wouldn’t respond either. Why should they give a fuck about you if you don’t even care about what their going through? I think “Oh look deep shit, I don’t care what the fuck is happening to you…” Should be applied to you as well. Why should we care? Millions of people are going through stuff. Why should we treat you above them? And your upset why? Because people don’t respond to your messages? This whole thing continues on and on from different journals.

Moving on let’s talk about the other type of people here.

I think it’s safe to say the people here who support this group are those with undeveloped brains.

Conclusion: This is a shitty group where sexists and yaoi fangirls come to rant how they are upset that a female character exists. I'm okay with hating a character with a valid  reason. I don't even care for Seychelles myself but you can at least have a decent reason. Not just bashing others for the sake of of saving your ships. And who makes a hate group where the entire fandom can see? It should have done private or something.
